sometime our registry ever get trouble, we must edit it or fixin, but dont forget to back up first.In the event that you make an error such as delete an entry by mistake, you will be able to avoid disaster by restoring your registry using your back up. Read on to learn how to back up your registry on a Windows XP system.
Click on your Start button in the bottom right hand corner of your desk top. This opens the Start Menu.

Click on "Run." Now, type "regedit" into the Run text box and then press "Enter." This opens the registry editor

Click on “File” in the upper right hand corner. Next, select "Export Registry File" from the drop-down menu.

Choose the location to which you want to save your Registry’s back up. Give the back up file a name and then click on "Save." Close the Registry - and you are done!

If you need to restore your registry, simply navigate back to your back up file and double click on it. Click OK.
