sometime ago i have posted about access Windows XP Password protected, and now i'ill give something may be use for you about Mac password protected.
Or in my case wanted to see the data or your cheating (now x) wifes laptop? This is a simple how to, for Macintosh computers with a firewire port, to access all files on the hard drive when you have misplaced the administrators password.

Make sure the target computer, the Mac you want to pull info from is turned off.

Insert the firewire cable to both Macs (target and host). It does not matter if your host computer is off. I always have mine turned on. Its a bit faster when you arent sure when the cheating B will be back from the grocery store.

Turn on the target computer and just as the computer makes that famous Mac ding at startup, hit and hold down the letter T on the keyboard until you see the firewire symbol (looks like the picture on this how to article)

In a few seconds the you should be able to suck as much data from the target as you need. A drive should load on your host computers desktop. Open the drive and walla all the info you need.

After copying the data needed close the target drive and eject it from your desktop just as you would a dvd.
